they/them

Zara first entered the world of food and agriculture through a deep love of cheese. This passion led them to co-launch and operate Raclette Machine, a cheese-themed food truck. Managing their own small business provided Zara with direct insight into the complexities of entrepreneurship and sparked a lasting respect for the farmers and producers who provide for their communities. Through this journey, Zara came to view food as a vital medium for storytelling, culture, and community care.

As a People and Culture Associate, Zara focuses on strengthening the internal systems that support KTA’s staff. They use their background in non profit administration to ensure that our team has the resources and cultural foundation necessary to thrive while serving our clients.

In their spare time, Zara loves to listen to qawwali music and play tabla.
